Currently he is regular part-time Lecturer at the National Defence College on Economic and International Affairs.

He is an Economics Consultant and a retired Senior lecturer/ Associate Director at the Institute of Diplomacy and International studies, University of Nairobi
Former Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Transport (2003-2008).

Areas of specialization in both teaching and research include International Economic Policy Analysis, Development Economics, International Economics, International Business and Public Finance. He has more than 20 years of consultancy assignments in which he has undertaken work for Kenya government, private sector and international institutions such as World Bank, UNCTAD, ILO, WHO, WTO, ADB, USAID and many others.

He was awarded a commemorative Medal of Honour by the American Biographical Institute of the Great Minds of the 21st Century, Published by the American Biographical Institute in the year 2003.
