The Ambassador Francis K. Muthaura Foundation (AFKM Foundation) is a charitable trust established in 2014 with the mission of nurturing and supporting Kenya’s future leaders. The Foundation was founded by Ambassador Francis K. Muthaura, a seasoned statesman and public servant, to promote Advanced Education among young, deserving Kenyans through the awarding of Master’s and Ph.D. scholarships.

Beyond scholarships, AFKM Foundation is deeply committed to public dialogue, research, and publications—fostering knowledge that shapes diplomacy, governance, and leadership in Kenya and across the East African region.

We envision a future led by well-educated, patriotic, and transformational leaders who are committed to national cohesion and regional integration.

Our Objectives
